What is an advertising pylon?
An advertising pylon is a freestanding sign structure, often several metres tall, installed along roads, driveways or in commercial areas. It makes businesses visible from a great distance — particularly effective along busy roads and motorway exits in Austria and beyond. Pylons can carry one or more company logos (single or multi-tenant pylons) and are optionally LED-illuminated for 24/7 visibility. We build pylons from compact stele format (2 m) up to large-scale pylons.
How tall can pylons be built?
We build pylons up to 15 metres and beyond. The exact height depends on site conditions, wind loads and planning designations. Every pylon is individually structurally engineered — including foundation planning (pad or strip foundation). Retrofitting height adjustments to existing pylons is also possible.
Do I need a permit for an advertising pylon?
Typically yes — freestanding advertising structures in Austria require a permit. The exact requirements vary by federal state and municipality. We are happy to support you with the planning and submission of the required documentation.
How much does an advertising pylon cost?
Costs vary significantly depending on height, material, illumination and foundations. Guide prices: A simple non-illuminated stele (approx. 2–3 m) starts from around EUR 3,000–5,000. Illuminated single pylons (5–8 m) range from EUR 10,000–20,000. Large pylons (10–15 m) with multiple tenants and complex foundations cost EUR 20,000–40,000 and above.
